What is School Report News Day?
On School Report News Day student reporters and the BBC will come together to form a single reporting team working to a single deadline.
Hundreds of schools and thousands of pupils from across the UK will be involved, reporting on issues that are important to them and about which they feel passionate.
Who will take part at Ormesby School?
March 15 2012 will see a group of volunteers from Year 8 reporting news stories that they have selected and researched themselves, aided and mentored by Student Leaders and staff from the English and ICT departments. Students will work to a tight deadline, just like real reporters, and the work they produce will be published on this page by 1600 GMT on the same day.
Coverage of their activities will appear on BBC programmes and services, and together, schools and the BBC will provide become a huge network of broadcasters.
Keep watching this space for updates and don’t forget to return on March 15 to view the fantastic reports we produce!
