Geography
In Ormesby we believe Geography has a very important role to play in the education of young people. It is hoped that children will leave school with a greater awareness and understanding of their world and the relationships which exist between people and the environments in which they live, work and play. We also aim to transmit the knowledge and promote the skills necessary for pupils to develop informed opinions and rational arguments on issues and questions relating to the Human and Physical environment. We feel it is important to adopt positive attitudes towards issues such as conservation, equality and sustainability.
We aim to provide the opportunity for all pupils, irrespective of their ability, race, colour, gender, creed, disability, belief or socio-economic background to achieve their full potential and pursue excellence. Pupils will be encouraged to; improve and develop their self-esteem, self-discipline and self-expectations, appreciate and understand the importance and benefits of sharing and cooperating with others to become confident, responsible and contributing members of the community.
