MFL: Modern Foreign Languages

Language learning for many pupils begins before they arrive at Ormesby School . Pupils in some of our feeder primary schools have the opportunity to begin learning French in Year 6.

It is the aim of the languages department to provide an interesting and meaningful experience for all pupils at Ormesby School and to help pupils realise that there is a big wide world out there waiting for them to explore.

Learning any new language can break down barriers because, believe it or not, not everyone speaks English!
