Music
Ormesby School has a thriving music department with many activities running under the direction of Mrs S.Geldard.
Our Curriculum at KS3 covers all styles of music from 20th century ‘Pop ‘to Medieval Monks! G.C.S.E music is offered as an option at KS4. Pupils are given the opportunity to learn to play a musical instrument and many receive lessons from T.V.M.S teachers who visit school on a weekly basis.
Extra-curricular activities are always popular and are available to all pupils from years 7 to 11. We have a flourishing choir but new members are always welcome – and there is no need to audition! We have a lively percussion group and a wind band which meets once a week. There are also opportunities to develop your talents as a soloist and even form your own band – our annual talent shows are an ideal opportunity for pupils to demonstrate their musical ability.
