Ormesby Scoops 7 Awards
The Stem group is an organization in east Middlesbrough which is targeting the area for improvement in lots of areas. Every year the stem organization holds an award ceremony to recognize people in the area who have worked and just done that little bit extra in the community to raise the profile of the area. These individuals are a focus of inspiration for people in the surrounding community.
Ormesby has been working closely with stem manufacturing trophies for the awards and has involved year 8 and 9 students. In total 78 awards were made. Staff from the school have been nominating excellent students from 3 different schools in the area. Ormesby swept the board with a total of 7 awards and actually won 1 category of young achiever of the year. A student from year 8 won this category against some stiff opposition, she was nominated by Mr I Smith for her achievements in sport. The school has demonstrated the good work both in and out of the school and won more trophies than any other organization in Middlesbrough .
